Raised in an environment where music was both nurtured and celebrated, Noah’s journey with music began at a tender age. Inspired by their father’s guitar melodies and the vibrant jazz tunes resonating through the house, Noah’s love for music burgeoned. 

Embracing a wide-ranging musical palette, Noah’s style encapsulates a passion for grooves across diverse genres. Their zeal for rhythm and groove culminated in roles with diverse projects, from playing disco and soul projects in the NSJO (Nederlands Studenten Jazz Orkest), Middle-Eastern and free jazz projects with the Young Metropole Orchestra, to playing guitar and tres cubano in the NJJO (Nationaal Jeugd Jazz Orkest) mambo project led by trumpeter Maite Hontelé. Besides orchestra projects, they’re also an integral part of PARRA.DICE, a collective that fuses original music with global groove influences, having performed at acclaimed Dutch festivals like Into The Woods and Amsterdam Dance Event and released their debut EP ‘Au Revoir Ooievaar.’ 

In 2022 Noah participated in the HKU large ensemble, led by the influential guitarist Corrie van Binsbergen, which profoundly shaped their musical storytelling. Immersed in Corrie’s compositions, Noah learned to further expand emotions into music, realizing its capacity to narrate tales beyond mere notes. Witnessing Corrie’s mastery inspired Noah to harness music as a conduit for storytelling, fostering a deep commitment to emotive musical expression.

Noah’s essence lies in being present with you, gently wrapping an arm around your shoulders, tenderly evoking cherished memories. In those moments, a smile might appear, or perhaps a tear; whatever emotions arise are welcome and honored in that space. Noah envisions music as an unassuming mirror, occasionally holding it up for others. Music reflects aspects of ourselves we may not have realized, and, through their musical projects, Noah aims to offer that reflective space, allowing others to explore the uncharted territories within themselves.

Looking ahead, Noah has a keen interest in further exploring how music can tell stories and convey emotions. However, being 27 and on the verge of their musical career, this journey is just a starting point. Driven by a strong desire to evolve as an artist and musician, Noah’s curiosity and eagerness to learn continuously motivates them to seek new discoveries and grow.
